Lettuce and mobile phone devices

Picture 3
Some lettuce is exposed to the radiation of a normal mobile phone for two minutes. It is subsequently put into water. A specimen of this water is then studied under a dark field microscope. The droplets exhibit a notably different inner structure compared to the drops of water in which the same lettuce had been put before having been exposed to the radiation of the mobile phone. The resulting conclusion is that the water “recognises” or “memorises”, the effect the mobile phone had on the lettuce. This new information is reflected in the difference in appearance of the drops.

  1. Drop of water under the microscope (control sample).
  2. Drop of water that contained the unexposed lettuce.
  3. Drop of water where the lettuce had been immersed after being exposed to mobile phone radiation.
